For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.

Northern Vietnam

Ba Be

Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centrepiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and home to many ethnic minority communities.

Bac Ha

The mountain province of Bac Ha is famous for its Sunday market. As the ethnic minorities gather - including members of the H’mong and Dao - the narrow corridors between the stalls are awash with colour and folk song. The traditional costumes worn to market by the different tribes will win over the most blasé of visitors. Smaller markets in the villages of Ban Pho province offer visitors the chance for a closer look at everyday life and the customs of the villagers.

Bac Ninh

En poursuivant sur la route nationale 1A, on arrive à Bac Ninh, la campagne typique du Nord au Vietnam. C'est une région de culture folklorique traditionnelle où se trouve un grand nombre de pagodes, temples, maisons communales et tombeaux.

Cao Bang

As a northernmost province of the country, Cao Bang is famous for its renowned landscapes such as Thang Hen Lake, Pac Po Cave, Ban Gioc Waterfall, and Nguom Ngoa Grotto. The landscapes of Cao Bang are wonderful, the people here are hospitable, and the daily life here is so peaceful, remaining almost unchanged for hundreds of years. Please come to Cao Bang to enjoy the gifts that nature has offered.

Cat Ba

Cat Ba is the jewel in the Gulf of Tonkin. The archipelago counts 366 islands and islets, and was recognised by Unesco in 2004 as a World Biosphere Reserve. The climate is both tropical and maritime. There are many small discrete beaches of fine white sand: Cát Cò 1, Cát Cò 2, Cát Dua, Cát Ông, Cát Trai Gái..

Cuc Phuong

This is the foremost national park in Vietnam, created in 1962 to preserve the flora and fauna. You may just want to come here for a relaxing picnic, but you will feel uplifted by the thought that it is home to so many protected species of plant and animal. Primary forest, a cave said to date back to prehistoric times, a tourist centre and a warm welcome from the locals will make a visit to Cuc Phuong a trip to remember.

Dien Bien Phu

Once you pierce the clouds, the spectacle is simply breathtaking: mountains as far as the eye can see, and just below, in what seems like an oddity of nature, is the famous “basin” of Dien Bien Phu. The province is home to various ethnic minorities, including the H’mong and Thai. The region is also of great historical importance.

Ha Long

The Bay of Halong (Descending Dragon) lies in the Gulf of Tonkin. Each one of its 1600-odd islands and islets has its own name and legend. The monolithic limestone islands that rise spectacularly out of the bay are, for this very reason, uninhabitable and remain unspoiled by man. Halong Bay embodies both myth and natural beauty, and supports delicate ecosystems found nowhere else on earth. You must not leave Vietnam without seeing Halong Bay.

Hanoi

Located on a bend in the Red River, the capital of Vietnam evokes romance. A thousand years of history have left their mark, and many important cultural sites can be found in Hanoi, within a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Visit the Jade Mountain Temple that sits in the Lake of the Returned Sword, Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake, the Temple of Literature, Quan Thanh temple, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Museum of Ethnology, ancient colonial architecture and, of course, the Old Quarter that still bustles with the sound of street vendors, markets and cyclos.

Mai Chau

Mai Chau is irresistible. Winding roads feel their way up and down the mountains that completely dominate the landscape. From lofty vantage points, you can see how the rivers find their way through the valleys. If you enjoy hiking, you should not miss a trip to Mai Chau. Stay overnight in one of the village guesthouses, after an evening of local music and high spirits.

Ninh Binh

Ninh Binh promet une découverte riche de vestiges historiques et de merveilles naturelles.

Sa Pa

Sapa lies in the very North of Vietnam. Easily accessible by train or by road from Hanoi, the mountains and valleys of the region will leave you breathless with emotion. Culture, fine-dining, eco-tourism in the National Park of Hoang Lien, trails to isolated villages, treks through the mountains to the peak of Fan Xi Pan: however you choose to unwind, Sapa can offer you something truly unique.

Tam Duong

Tam Duong is a frontier town situated in a beautiful valley between limestone rocks. This mountainous region is the home of many hill tribes such as the H'Mong, Man Tien, Lu and Cu Chu people who are authentic in lifestyle and colorful in costumes.

Thac Ba

Thac Ba is the biggest man-made lake in Viet Nam and captivates travelers with its incredible authentic beauty and more than 300 islands under lush vegetation.

The Perfume pagoda

In near silence, a long boat will take you past sugar-loaf hills; the surrounding trees disappear in a mist that hovers above land and water, and you get closer to the mountain. Once at the foot of the mountain, you begin the climb towards the various pagodas, which constitute the birth place of Buddhism in Vietnam: Thien Tru, Giai Oan, and Huong Tich. There are many statues, ornamental roofs, drums, and pilgrims. You will be moved by the peacefulness of this wondrous place.
