Vietnam visa

You should already have a valid visa before arriving in Vietnam. You can apply at the Vietnamese Embassy in your country.

Since 1999, it is possible to obtain a visa when you arrive at the airport. The procedure is straightforward: you simply send us the following information by fax or email:

• Surname and given names
• Sex
• Date of Birth
• Passport number
• Issue date and expiry date
• Nationality (at birth and actual)
• Entry date and exit date from Vietnam 

We send this information to the Vietnam Immigration Bureau. A document sanctioning a visa on arrival (single entry/exit) - offered to visitors by l’étoile Vietnam - will reach you after 3-7 working days. You need to print this document and keep it with your passport!

Upon arrival at the airport, fill in the visa application form in the arrivals hall (remember to bring a passport ID photo.). A single entry visa costs $25 and a multiple entry visa costs $50. Please note that only the airport authorities in Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City are permitted to issue visas to foreign nationals.
